5 years old

My blog is 5 years old!

I started this blog when I was a freshman in Montemorelos. The title was Back to Normal, because it was during my frustration months in MM after Thailand. For three years, the title remained the same. In the summer of 2009 I changed it to My Adventures because I had a great summer! and was heading back to Thailand (Yeys!). Enough reasons to be more positive. Then in October 2010 I changed the title again to Brazil Mission and More...

Back in October 2006, little I knew I was going to be in Thailand again in 2009, and then in Brazil in 2010. Looking at previous posts makes me want to say thank you LORD over and over again. His blessings in my life have been great! as well as the challenges and teachings from Him.

What's next? I do not know, but of what I am sure is that life is an adventure and it is greater if we live it with Christ!

Old posts

I was wondering around my blog and came across this post with random things about me. I read the #16 and thought,... "WOW, two year ago I was bilingual, now I'm [technically] trilingual!!"

This reminds me of 1 Corinthians 13:1

"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal."

Thank you Lord for this opportunity! and please help me to love others. I pray that I may use these languages to bring more people closer to you.

*Another question in my English for Tourism class.

What was the happiest moment of your life?
One of the happiest moments in my life was when, after 3 months of treatment, we discovered that my mom did not have cancer anymore. In 2003
she went through chemotherapy and one day during the 3rd month of treatment my dad told me to go see my mom because she wanted to talk to me. somehow I knew what she was going to tell me because I had confidence in God that He was going to heal my mom. And now every time I think of it, I can't stop praising the Lord and thanking Him for that gift and for the opportunity of having my mom with us now.

Thanks for...

There are lots of reasons why I should say thanks to God, and so here are few of them:
- Thakns for God's love.
- Thanks for my parents that care so much about me.
- Thanks for my mom, that is a great example for me.
- Thanks for my dad, he is one of my heroes.
- Thanks for my brother... yeah, sometimes I complain about things I don't like about my brother, but I still can say thanks about having a brother.
- Thanks for my great friends that are here and far away. Love you all. Thank you guys for accepting me the way I am.
- Is great to know how to write and read. There are just lots of people that can't.
- Thanks for being able to speak english (don't care if I have that latino accent...lol) and spanish. I know that can be really helpful and also I wanna use it to help others ;)
- Thanks for the change I have to study.
- Thanks for my eyes. Thanks for being able to see God's creation.
- Thanks for my voice. I like to sing, and I wanna use it to praise God.
- Thanks for being able to play violin. I should say thanks to my mom also... because she's the one that put me into this.
- Thanks for the freedom to go to church every saturday. There are to many people that can't go just like that to church.
- Thanks for being able to drive.
- Thanks for letting me see the colors as they are.

Thank You God ;)

hey people.... me again.
Thank God another week is gone! I'm really happy and thankful for all the many blessings we get from Him.
The past thursday (as every thursday of this semester) I went to the farm with my classmates. Everybody that passes through first year in Montemorelos University HAS to go to the farm one day (for about 2 or 3 hours) per week, and this during the whole semester.... so as a good girl I went there with the students of the engineering department. We had to collect the little green tomatoes that we planted at the begining of the semester, and I tell you... that was a hard thing to do, cause those little thigs are on the ground, so I had to kneel to get them.... and doing that for 3 hours! maaaaan..... you die... specially if it's in the afternoon when it's so bloody hot.
Anyway...I'm not writing to complain.
While working there I was thinking of God's power and love. How from a simple little seed we get big things like trees and fruits. Sometimes we don't even thank God about those things. We just take them for granted. I thank God that He made me stop for a momment and put me to realize about what he has created and made me think how great He is.
Sometimes God uses things that we hate or dislike (like sometimes having to go to the farm) to give us a lesson of love and care.
Stop for a momment and think about the great things God has done for you... or just to say THANK YOU GOD for giving me life.

Hope you all have a greatt Sabbath and God bless you!
